WHAT IS A LAMINATE FLOOR?
A laminate floor is actually a picture of wood placed on melamine which is placed on a particle board and coated with aluminum oxide. Even though the aluminum oxide coating which is the top surface (wear layer) is very thin it is 4 times stronger than wood.
WHY SHOULD I APPLY IT TO MY NEW OR OLD LAMINATE FLOOR?
Laminate, bamboo, and cork as well as wood floors can be easily damaged by water, although laminate type floors are the most susceptible. There is no water proofing applied to the sides and underside of these floorings. When water penetrates through the joints & seams it causes the substrate layer (pressed wood) to expand and buckle. When this happens to laminate, bamboo, or cork floors, the laminate has to be replaced; real wood would have to be sanded. Our laminate floor finish helps seal and water proof those joints & seams on your new floor, while putting a beautiful protective shine on the floor.
When new laminate type floors are installed there is a lot of overspray and dirt from the factory, you may not notice it, but it is there. It cannot be removed by simply mopping the floor (even with a cleaner). Our laminate floor cleaner will remove this and all other contaminates from the floor allowing the real beauty to come through.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH OLDER WORN FLOORS:
Laminate, cork, and bamboo floors cannot be sanded and refinished like real wood; the top coat is not made of wood and is just too thin anyway. The retail stores have sold these products as 'maintenance-free floors'. Even though the aluminum oxide coating is 4 times harder than real wood, it is very thin and gets scratched and scuffed and dull looking just like any floor surface that is walked on. Plus just about everyone that has them complains about footprints being left on the floor when you walk on them in your bare or stocking feet. Pets also leave footprints on them. You can’t use strong chemicals to clean them for fear of damaging the oxide coating. There has been no way to keep these types of floors looking shiny. Waxes, Mop & Glow, Quick Shine, and those types of coatings should never be used on laminate type floors. And as stated above; these types of floors are very susceptible to water damage, and many people who bought them are not even aware of this. Only a lightly damp mop should be used to clean them, and spills should be gotten up immediately. Here is the kicker, up until now there has not been a product made exclusively for restoring, protecting, and cleaning laminate floors, bamboo floors, and cork floors.

We see a lot of people recommending vinegar and water to clean laminate type floors. This is a big mistake! Vinegar is an acid and each time you clean with it, it eats away at the surface, dulling and potentially weakening the top coating of your floor. |
THE SOLUTION:
On new floors, our laminate floor cleaning products will bring the real beauty of your new floors to life, and give them that enriched shine that you paid for. At the same time it will add a water repellent coating to the joints and seams to help significantly reduce potential water damage. It will eliminate those pesky foot prints, and will put a protective coat that will take the punishment of everyday use, so your original top finish is protected.
On older worn and scuffed floors, our laminate floor cleaners will fill and hide scratches and scuff marks. It will help protect joints and seams from water damage, and eliminate those foot prints while returning your floor to its original shine. In many cases it will look better than new. If you want a more brilliant long lasting shine just apply an additional finish coat or two (each coat that you apply will raise the shine by a 30% gloss level). It’s so easy to do.
The kit contains everything you need including a simple training video, enough products to do 800 square feet putting down one coat. The application is simple and fool proof. The micro fiber mops that come with the kit can be used over and over again, so next time you need to refinish the floor you only need to buy the product. You also receive a long lasting bottle of our special laminate floor cleaner to maintain your newly treated floors. This product will easily remove the daily dirt and grime that accumulates on your floor, and maintains the new shine you have applied. You can use the micro fiber pads for your regular floor cleaning. When they are dirty you simply wash them.
IMPORTANT: This system is not JUST designed for older worn and scratched floors including real wood floors, BUT ALSO for brand new laminate, bamboo, and cork floors. How Easy Is It To Do?
Honestly, a ten-year-old kid can do it. Here are the simple steps:
- Vacuum or Sweep floor to remove any dirt, dust, and lint
- Lightly spray the deep scrub cleaner on the floor
- Mop the floor with the white scrub pad (furnished)
- Rinse the floor with water and the microfiber pad (furnished)
- Let dry
- Spray a light coat of the restoration finish product on the floor
- Spread the finish evenly using the other microfiber pad (furnished)
- Let dry ½ hour
- Apply second and final coat to the floor
The floor can be walked on in 1 hour; furniture can be moved back in 3 hours. It is that simple!

"Like many homeowners, we installed prefinished wood floors into our home because we thought they'd be easy to maintian and we loved the shine.
